Just 24 hours after their second mission, Tony's (LT Moran's) crew was back up in the air to bomb rail yards. He flew in this particular ship below, the Blue Grass Girl II.

This time in the city of Brunswick or as the Germans would call it Braunschweig.
This city was a desirable target due to it being home to the aircraft factories that produced the Messerschmitt Bf 110 Fighter and the Junker Ju 88 bomber.

In all, Brunswick was targeted more than 50 times during the war. The Germans were obsessed to protecting it, and the anti aircraft crews had accumulated a great amount of experience dealing with bomber formations. So it is not a surprise that Tony's squadron was hit very accurately. I assume that the anti aircraft gunners would have been able to able to use a "barrage" technique, which selects an area of air space on the way to the target and simply hits it while the enemy formation flies through it.
